Realize / reality

Not getting published is not the quality of my work. That is a big understanding, because I realize the work itself is not the issue. This understanding can liberate inadequacy with my work. Whenever the publisher says, in a rejection letter, “best wishes placing this elsewhere” is meaning the piece did not suit or fit them, quite literally. It is about the publisher’s requirements.
